The event is free and open to the public.

In light of renewable energy making an impact on the economic landscape of our borough, the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation and Wagner College will host its inaugural ‘Forum for a Sustainable Future’ on Wednesday, March 22 at the college's Grymes Hill campus located at 631 Howard Avenue from 8:30 a.m. — 3:00 p.m.

The Sustainability Forum will feature round table discussions, keynote sessions and breakout groups among city agencies, developers, and industry leaders. Conversations will delve into the policies and job creation that will ultimately result from solar, resiliency, and offshore wind projects. There will also be a student component in partnership with local institutions to educate future generations on this growing sector with large workforce potential.

“Staten Island’s future is taking shape now in the form of renewable energy. We wanted to take this opportunity with the Sustainability Forum to connect not only business owners, but Staten Islanders and students, to the economic opportunities landing on our shores.”
