Since 1993, we have helped businesses thrive on Staten Island.
About SIEDC
SIEDC has been responsible for over $550 million in new investment, the creation of over 3,500 jobs and the development of over 1,000 acres of vacant industrial land by providing assistance to developers and companies implementing projects in the borough, while at the same time serving the smallest entrepreneur and small business owner with tailored financing, procurement, and real estate assistance.
SIEDC administers a wide range of free services available to local businesses, such as financing assistance, job training and technology assistance. Our Projects Division consists of urban planners working diligently to bring new programs and projects to the borough, such as the West Shore Light Rail and the SI Gondola. Throughout the year, SIEDC offers community events, such as the SIEDC Health & Wellness Expo and the SIEDC Annual Business Conference, that are free and open to the public. We are so grateful to our 200 members, who serve as economic advocates in the community and help make these services, programs and projects and events possible.
The evolving economic landscape and the unbreakable bonds of the community are what make Staten Island a unique New York City borough. The SIEDC fuels the local economy by adding value through professional events, neighborhood outreach, and empowering businesses.
Combining a core mission of helping businesses reach their highest potential and utilizing the loyalty of SIEDC members and sponsors, the SIEDC has created an institution that fosters economic development.
Whether you are investing in the evolving landscape of Staten Island, growing a family business, or embarking on making your dream a reality, it is the mission of the SIEDC to help you thrive.
